Gold Beach is the county seat for Curry County. Local History dates back to Native cultures and the discovery of Gold! The Curry County Historical Museum is the right place to learn the fascinating history of the area.

HOW TO GET HERE
Driving: From the South, San Francisco is about 380 miles. The drive along Hwy 101 will take you along pristine coastlines and thru Giant Redwoods.
From the North, Portland is about 300 miles. Choose the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway Hwy 101, which provides views of amazing coastal scenery, charming small towns, state parks, overlooks, historic bridges and lighthouses to ensure a delightful journey. For the fast track take Interstate 5.
Flying: United Airlines has scheduled services into Crescent City Ca, just 60 miles south of Gold Beach. Other airports with service include Portland International Airport 300 miles to the North, North Bend, OR 110 miles to the North and Jackson County (Medford, OR) is 154 miles to the East. You can also fly right into Gold Beach Municipal Airport if you have a private charter or aircraft.
